Privacy & Cookies
How we use the information you give us, the cookies and tracking on this website, and how to change your choices at any time.
Who we are
This website is run by The Green Team Landscaping Services (The Green Team Exteriors Ltd), based in Shropshire. You can contact us about anything on this page at thegreenteam96@gmail.com or on 01743 623518.
Information you send us
When you send an enquiry or accept a quote, we receive the details you enter – such as your name, phone number, email, address, a description of the work and any photos. We use them to reply to you, arrange site visits, prepare quotes, book and carry out work, invoice, and keep the records a business needs. They are kept in our private customer system. We send you an email confirming we've received your enquiry. We don't sell your details.
Necessary storage (always on)
The website needs a small amount of storage in your browser to work and to remember your cookie choice. This is always on and isn't used to track you. For your current browser visit only, it also remembers whether you've already seen our free quote pop-up or sent an enquiry, so the pop-up isn't shown again. The enquiry form, phone and WhatsApp links work whether or not you accept optional cookies.
Analytics (optional)
If you allow Analytics, we use Google Analytics (provided by Google) to see which pages are visited and how people use the site – for example pages viewed, the device and browser used, and roughly where visitors are. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga). We use this only to improve the website. Without your permission, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics events are sent.
Advertising and marketing measurement (optional)
If you allow Advertising / marketing measurement, we use Google Ads conversion measurement so we can see when an advert led to an enquiry. We also remember, for your current browser visit only, which advert or website brought you here – for example campaign tags in the web address (such as utm_source), advertising click identifiers from Google or Meta (such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid or fbclid), the page you first arrived on and the website that linked to us. This is kept in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close your browser, and is sent to us with your enquiry so we know which of our marketing actually works.
If you don't allow this, nothing is remembered between pages. The only information that may still be included with your enquiry is what is in the address of the page you send it from and the website you came from – this is never stored in your browser.
Google Analytics and Google Ads are provided by Google, who process the data on our behalf and for their own purposes as described in their policies. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Changing your choices
You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw permission, optional tracking stops from then on, and we remove our own visit-tracking information and Google Analytics cookies for this site from your browser where the browser allows it. Your choice also applies to the quote and booking links we send you. Rejecting optional cookies never stops you using the enquiry form, phoning or messaging us.
How long information is kept
Your cookie choice is remembered until you change it or clear your browser. Visit-tracking information (advertising/marketing measurement) lasts only for your current browser session. Google keeps analytics data according to the settings and policies that apply to Google Analytics. Enquiry and customer records are kept for as long as we need them to provide our service and keep proper business records.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
